I've tried to write an explainer for why I think we're seeing rioting on the streets of Belfast.
It's not a defence of what's happening. It's an attempt to understand the conditions that made it possible: unfinished peace, segregation, deprivation, constitutional uncertainty, migration and the communities politicians prefer not to talk about.

D-Day 6 June 1944. A day that changed the course of WW2.
We must remain grateful of that generation who gave so much, suffered incredible hardships at home and overseas.
Here in Northern Ireland, and across these islands, we should be proud of the Royal Ulster Rifles.
When the UK still had a formidable Air Force, a formation of 16 Phantom FGR Mk2s from 56 & 74 Sqn at RAF Coningsby in June 1992. The mass flyfast was organized to mark the impending retirement of the Phantom from RAF service later that year.
