@Arteux11 @AOC Its actually true that legacy media has a high degree of rigor when verifying reporting. Something you cant say about alternative media, which has no accountability when pundits get things wrong daily. However, its also true that pieces have a political slant.
@imjeremyedwards @Timcast Im also Australian and that may be the case about the PM, but it was only from projections. There was still so much unknown due to postal votes, preferences and low popular support for the major parties. I cant believe you would use this example.
@JefHill1@Timcast Im Australian and thats literally a lie. They were counting the votes from 1-2 weeks after election day due to all the preferences and the low popular support for Labor and the Liberals.
@latinthinker@Timcast they literally do yes. This is such a weird requirement, and seems like you just dont want to count all votes because you dont like the outcome.
@Realityentruth@kimmy1082@Timcast define getting worse? Because what i have observed is people are moving to the cities for better opportunities (economic, social and cultural). By contrast, people are leaving the rural areas in fast numbers and they are turning into ghost towns of a bygone era.
@KonstantinKisin@AOC Konstantin, her point is valid. This kind of hollows out his previous rhetoric that he is defending civilization by making twitter a public square.
@Realityentruth@kimmy1082@Timcast hey that makes sense but its never just that is it. Republicans try and prevent POCs from voting by reducing voting centers in their areas, reducing voting times, attacking postal votes, gerrymandering districts so all POCs get grouped together. Why is election day not on the WE?
@Realityentruth@kimmy1082@Timcast i think IDs, are fine but they should be free and easily accessible. But if you can provide 3 levels of identification including address, DOB and full name that should be enough
