@ElixanYujin@GenLayer Gated is what it feels like when a judge can call the post campaign-shaped and that is the end of the conversation. Open would be someone else deploying a different standard for the same work.
@soloswago Why 1.33x for Bitcoin specifically — is that the Kelly-optimal multiple at ~60% vol where drift finally beats both volatility and financing drag? Does 2Factor Finance re-size it per asset instead of offering a uniform 2x?
@eritomi_ A short-duration bond fund if the drift clears the fuel. Highest only where financing drag is obviously beaten. Equities are the default. Bonds are the audit. If bonds fail, I still would not hand it to BTC.
As assets, by the program's own text, yes: no cash value, no transfer, no claim. As records, no. A leaderboard is information, it tells the campaign who did the verified work, and position on it is the only thing the separate prize keys on. A thing can be unownable and still count.
@No1barca_fan@2FactorFinance Multiplier first is how you buy the wrong gearing for the asset. A setting that fits Bitcoin can be reckless on a stock and pointless on a bill.
When a protocol says it went live, I read the announcement like a commissioning report. Three columns: what is running, what is claimed, what is still on the drawing.
@2FactorFinance opened its beta to the public on Base. Bitcoin runs first, equities follow.
The claim is unusually checkable: leverage that scales with the asset underneath it, Kelly-optimized, aimed at people who hold for years rather than hours.
Under it, two tranches. The junior side takes the gearing and has no liquidation clause. The senior side sits below, collects a premium for the seat, and takes the hit before anyone else.
Where legacy products price their leverage off what a short costs, this one sources its financing from capital that prefers to sit still.
It shares the chain with the tokenized equities Coinbase put there. Equities move gently by comparison, and sizing by the asset earns its keep precisely where the numbers behave.
The Points Program opened with the beta, Season 1 already running. Marks only land on verified actions: posting, the coursework, referrals. Nothing bought or held counts.
At season close, the ten best ranks on the board share one BTC, denominated in cbBTC.

Final item on the commissioning sheet, the one I cannot tick yet: when a design says the holder faces no liquidation, is the failure solved, or just moved to a line of the report nobody reads?
@alexistheauthor@2FactorFinance Steeper means the top few have less reason to keep going once they feel safe, and the rest have less reason to start. Both ends go quiet
@Wickapex Recovery without me, no contest. Got stopped out of SOL at 98 dollars in 2024, then watched it run to 200 from the sidelines. The red candle hurt for a day, the green ones haunted me for months. Did you ever re-enter after yours or was the trust gone?
Exactly the right lineage: bond ladders have run on this pattern for a century, hold paper with staggered maturities, let the short end roll, and the portfolio's duration stays put while its contents turn over, and options traders do the same with rolls. The finance is old and respectable. The difference is who does the work, in a ladder you roll it yourself, and here the protocol rotates the set so the holder's risk profile is the thing held constant.
@Bee_onX@2FactorFinance Good nuance on . Working with them on a use case for tokenized-stocks ecosystem is very different from saying stocks are live. And cbBTC beta being capped matters.
My education Q: How would the Kelly target change for a tokenized stock vs cbBTC given different drift/vol?
@swaggoxri@2FactorFinance Yes. It was me, on a second account, delta-neutral and smug. Other side was my own spot. Then one leg died. I had built a counterparty who shared my wallet and not my survival. Embarrassing, educational.
@GutonD48164 The premium paid by the junior seems central here. How is it calculated, and how often can it change as volatility or market conditions shift?
Leverage has a dosage. Almost every product ever shipped ignores it.
Below the right dose, the position does nothing. Above it, it kills the holder.
Two complications, mostly. The acute one: liquidation, a single violent event.
The chronic one: decay, where the math of turbulence and the price of the money behind it compound quietly against the holder.
@2FactorFinance is out on Base, built with Coinbase, putting Kelly-criterion sizing onchain where the tokenized stocks trade. The beta is open to anyone now.
The junior tranche takes the leverage and never faces a liquidation event. The senior side absorbs the downside first and collects the premium the junior side pays for its leverage.
The old market prices leverage off what shorting costs. This design finances from the calm end of the book, which is cheaper and steadier.
The dose depends on the patient.
Bitcoin is the volatile one: at its turbulence the safe dose runs small, roughly 1.33x, and the doubled and tripled Bitcoin products everyone has watched fade are the overdose cases.
Stocks, at a fraction of that turbulence, tolerate well past 3x.
The program's first season is running. Nothing bought, deposited or held earns anything: Marks only register for verified actions, the posting, the learning track and the referrals.
When the season closes, the ten highest ranks split one BTC in cbBTC between them.

One question from the ward: which failure scares you more in a leveraged hold, the sudden event or the slow bleed?
@swaggoxri@2FactorFinance ETH after a chop quarter. Not because it is exotic. Because financing drag shows up when price goes nowhere. Nowhere is the hardest chart.
@Bee_onX@2FactorFinance For me to trust junior in a sharp drawdown, I need to see the capped market in stress: what happens when everyone tries to exit junior at once? Does senior still get paid, does junior get queued?
