I think attendance for Friday’s game is actually not going to be so bad. As much as this team has destroyed my weekends so far, the roster is still fun to watch. Tough to turn down a chance to see a 70yd IB TD, an 80 yd pass from Linc > McCoy, or a KB truck stick
@CardChronicle just listened to the pod. My new take is that we would have won Saturday if we weren’t ranked in the AP poll. We’re 27-22 as a ranked team since 2014. So if we’re ranked, it’s a coin flip game no matter the opponent. Not enough talk about this record right now
@_EthanMoore Completely agree. This isn’t getting talked about enough and getting drowned out by Brohm blunder and penalties. Giving up 200+ yards to a receiver on Wake Forest is unacceptable. He was wide open from miscommunication and poor schemes at all times. Completely on the coaches
@GoshShamgosh If the defense didn’t let one random player get 200+ yards today I’d join you in this optimism. But dude - we aren’t going to win 6 more games with this staff
@iamstones_ This team won’t win out. Doesn’t matter who we have left on the schedule. We’ll lose 2-3 more. Offense scores points but no way we’ll get enough stops to win 9 more games
@LvilleSprtsLive Pretty good. I love how people always try to add so much logic to preseason predictions. With us especially there will be no logic to our losses (or big wins). I think we drop the home game to Wake and lose at GT.
My thoughts on the game last night. I didn’t think the game plan was coaching malpractice like others do. Brohm had a good plan to open up the run game against a stout Clemson defense without IB and get positive yards on 1st downs.
Brohm knows this style of play on offense doesn’t blow anyone out but always keeps us in the game. I think he could have gone another route with the game plans here and let it fly more and potentially throw more picks but more touchdowns.
