Today, the Ethiopian Ministry of Peace was dismissed from his position by the Office of the Prime Minister of Ethiopia, sparking controversy and widespread discussion throughout the nation.
The dismissal of the minister comes after he expressed concern about the 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭'𝐬 𝐝𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐡𝐨 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐧 𝐀𝐝𝐝𝐢𝐬 𝐀𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐚 𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐝𝐚𝐲.
In the minister's statement on social media, he noted that imprisoning activists and politicians for advocating a peaceful demonstration in Addis Ababa is a concerning move. He also emphasized that a call for a 𝐜𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐦𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐟𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞 𝐛𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐝𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐝.
Following the dismissal by The Office Of the Prime Minister from his position, the minister shared the following statement on his social media:
"To the honorable Prime Minister Abiy
I followed you by believing in the idea of inclusion that you said and wrote. But now I understand that you are barbarians who not only do not live by what they say, but who play with human blood. I thought it was true, they were praising me when I told you about the futile war that they were conducting in the name of the survival of the country and which not only killed Ethiopians but also crushed the country. Today, the matter came to me and they removed me from power for advocating for peace so that the killing of the brothers would stop. I am very happy that I did not stay silent while watching the gambling you are playing to destroy the Oromo by Oromo and having Oromo’s fight thier brothers for power and materialistic things.
Thank you for my short stay. As long as I am alive, my struggle for peace and brotherhood of the people will continue!"
The minister's dismissal and subsequent statement have ignited a wave of controversy and raised questions about the government's commitment to democratic principles, freedom of expression, and peaceful protest. The developments are likely to have a significant impact on the political landscape and the ongoing discourse surrounding human rights and governance in Ethiopia.

Congress (@RepJames) and the State Department's (@MikeHammerUSA) continued silence on this ongoing #AmharaGenocide is unconscionable.
It's time to take a stand and cut off the funds that the United States provides, enabling this government to acquire war machines for the ruthless massacre of civilians. #Ethiopia #Amhara
Abiy Ahmed is dangerously delusional. He acts like an absolute monarch and feels certain that he is divinely ordained. This distorted belief resonates with the demonic force dwelling in his heart. That is why he is devoid of empathy and compassion. This disposition fosters a disturbing inclination towards embracing bloodshed, cruelty, and brutality. The consequences of such a mindset extend beyond its impact on others.
In just five years, Abiy Ahmed has managed to bring about a level of devastation to Ethiopia that surpasses the cumulative harm inflicted by his predecessors. His actions and decisions have led the nation down a path of ruin, destroying the remaining social fabric, economic stability, and the overall well-being and continuity of the whole nation. Urgent action is needed to remove him from power in whatever way it takes.
His conduct has earned him the label of a war criminal and a fascistic tyrant. The preservation of Ethiopia's future hinges on his removal from office. This endeavor should be pursued with a sense of responsibility, as Abiy Ahmed and his inner circle are heading for an epic downfall. .
Belete Mola and Berhanu Nega must jump off the sinking ship and resign. They should save themselves and stop being accomplices to massacres, mass detention, and all sort of crimes against humanity. They have already caused enormous damage and harm by aligning themselves with the fascist by endorsing his rule by decree. They should instead join the effort to save the nation from total collapse. The disaster is imminent. #Ethiopia #AmharaResistance
