I see David Essex is trending. There used to be a kids TV programme called Joshua Jones where the puppet looked like him. My kids had to endure endless episodes of it! 😄
So I had a stroke on Wednesday at my desk. Luckily colleagues recognised the symptoms and I was in hospital within 35 minutes. Please retweet and remind people Face, Arm, Speech & Time. Time is key for stroke victims and I owe everything to those @12CPBarristers who acted.
@RachaelDunlop They have always been my favourite type of trouser but I got rid of mine a couple of years ago when I caught sight of myself in the mirror and realised I looked not so much 'All Saint', more 'bag lady'. Gave in two weeks ago and bought some new ones, though...
@JutlandRemember @SimpleLivinGene He was William Henry Randall. He was serving on the Indefatigable at the time and was 28 years old, having enlisted in 1904 at the age of 16.
@GenealCymru Think it's more common in all families than we think, even today. Visited place my gtx2 granddad lived last week - attempted suicide twice in his 30s then spent the rest of his life in an asylum. He's an extreme example - but those are the only ones we usually get to know about.
If 43% of UK adults do not pay tax (IFS sourced) as they are carers, low paid, pensioners, unemployed etc. - how will tax cuts help them pay the £4,000 fuel and utility bills forecast?
So we've got strikes, an inflationary crisis, an energy crisis and a health crisis. All under a Tory government, but it's apparently Labour who 'want to take us back to the 70s'. Seems legit. #ToryChaos#GTTO
@BeanPhoto Hope you don't feel too ropey with it. Make sure you get lots of rest and don't plan anything too exhausting for the next couple of weeks, just in case you get the tiredness hanging on after.
£37 billion pounds. How much good could that have done for public health & the NHS- the actual people living in Britain- instead of being funnelled into private companies quickly set up to make money off the Covid crisis? Same story for PPE. https://t.co/wLtizKM8ue
I've been away for a few days and come back to a parallel universe where a woman who spends too much time on fancy dress photo ops has called a woman who (even if don't agree with her politics) is undoubtedly a serious politician of being an "attention seeker". Beam me up...
@BsGout Just before the introduction of the NHS, my great-grandmother died because her family could not afford to pay the doctor to come out to her when she started to show signs of what became a diabetic coma. She was in her 40s. You really want to bring those days back?
