And no, I don’t want a Valko main story dropped later alongside everyone else’s just to appease the haters. He deserves a proper debut like every other LI had, not some half-assed scraps that still bend the knee to the antis.

What they did to all of us is a joke. The fact that they can’t even type a single line addressing us, even if only to reaffirm the cancellation, is a joke. Letting the loudest and whiniest people in this fandom become the only voices they listen to is a joke.

I will not accept a shadow drop. I will not accept scraps or second-class treatment. They wanted the game for themselves, so they can have it and burn alongside the toxic fandom they chose. That is exactly what they deserve.

I've heard a lot of talk about "involving the CCP" and this may be why.

It's one thing to make up stuff and create controversy out of nothingburgers, stir up extremist groups or whatnot.

However, in this case, it is about responsibility. If PPG/Infold is a government sanctioned cultural export, then they are deliberately neglecting their responsibilities as such by ignoring the voices of global players. That is a legitimate issue. They are basically being paid by their government to do a job that they are choosing to not do.

I don't have an answer for this. There are people out there much, much better equipped than I who can look further into it.
