Looking for a different introduction activity for your history classes? "Would You Rather" is simple way to get kids thinking about the past. I've done this as a slideshow, with stand up sit down, or walk to one side or the other. This year, we did voting with sticky dots.

@doriecp I’ve had a Peace Lily, Snake Plants, Heart Leaf Philodendron, and a Zebra Plant in my room the past few years. All are doing okay except for the Zebra Plant which I’m subbing for a ZZ Plant this year. I’m going to try succulents too since I have south facing windows. 🤞🤞🤞

@AP_Trevor @bendanson1 I teach in NYS which requires USH 1607-present & 3 other yrs of ss courses. I give a summer assignment, assign the majority of the content as hw, & spend my class time teaching skills, doing deep dives, & activities. Either the scope of the course or the test needs to change.

@Will_i_amCrane @AP_Trevor I’m not sure that would help me much. I have students taking 3-4 exams. I love going earlier so they’re not taking my test exhausted. It’s the content coverage or the exam that needs to change.

@AP_Trevor I actually like seeing the number of perfect scores. There are so few for APUSH which allows me to make the point to my students that they don’t need to be perfect to do well on the exam .
