@nycexpatmom 9. Divorce was taboo at that time, but printed in the newspaper. ‘Best friend’ asked about it in the middle of our 3rd grade class. Everyone turned to look at me. I was treated differently from that moment on. Between family & school dynamic both shifting, I ‘grew up’ real fast.
