@Doug_Lemov Chopping board and knife sharpener every time (should I mention a slow cooker too?). I once took a salad spinner but now fling the lettuce leaves around in a tea towel.
@BBCBreaking My childhood was a warmer place because of Bernard Cribbins and Mr Perks. Even now, whenever I lift anything heavy, the Right Said Fred song and 'another cup of tea' plays in my head. Thoughts are with Bernard Cribbins' family.
@invitinghistory This is the poem by Roberta Maioni. It's a bit hard to read in places. I can't imagine what it was like to sit down just days afterwards and write a poem about the events.
@WriterDavidLong @BarringtonStoke We have just spent a few weeks learning about Titanic in year 4. Your book about Titanic is fantastic; they were absorbed by it and it fuelled a lot of discussion afterwards.
@invitinghistory I have a copy. Some of it is hard to read. She was a distant relative of mine; I only found this out after teaching about the Titanic at school during a conversation with my dad. Since then, my kind uncle sent me copies of her account and poem.
@Philippa_Perry@caitlinmoran Not sure if anyone else has done this but a friend of mine used to buy a voucher for a small amount for a shop they knew the recipient liked and got a free card in the process.
@Primageographer@lesleyOglass Hi Paula, I love our local Bluetits group and the general camaraderie. I've been sea dipping more this year, including today, and love the buzz. I went in today fully suited and booted, plus bobble hat! We pretended we were in the Med, rather than Shoreham Harbour!
@UnofficialOA Happy Birthday. I don't know you but your posts often make me smile and I did feel for you getting that positive result the other day. Here's to a positive start to the New Year.
@georgiearms @ImogenDempsey39 @deputygrocott I caught myself contemplating whether a dash of Baileys would enhance my Greek yoghurt and berries snack yesterday. Am about to go out and buy another bottle.
@hedges_nicola My favourite runs are ones where u stop to take photos of my surroundings. You get a real feel for the change in seasons. I remember these runs more than the ones where I got a quicker time!
