@8none1 You make music in Linux right? I’ve got a keyboard with a MIDI out port. Do you have a suggestions for a hardware device and software synth type application that works in Linux to allow my wife to hear her music?

@degville @8none1 Awesome to hear! Sounds like there is a good selection of hardware and software that’ll work. Been reluctant to pull the trigger on buying something because I was unsure I could make it work. Sounds like chances are good I’ll be able to put something together for Mrs @dawson_sa

@bendechrai That looks very awesome. I’ll check that out for sure! Having people fumble for the mute on the mic would be rough. So having a mixer would be great.

@bendechrai Great video on your tech recording setup! Followed it and am creating awesome content. Question. Do you have a suggestion for a relatively inexpensive device to bring two rode mic inputs into a laptop? Preferably with an ability to mute a mic one while it’s not used.

@bendechrai That is a good idea. Thanks. I looked at the Focusrite 2i2 and had a hard time coming up with a justification for a $270 peice of equipment that I’m currently solving the problem by having my presenter just repeat questions for the recording.

@bendechrai Got two Rode wireless GO mic. Hoping to use one for the presenter and the second for a person to introduce the speaker then questions. Currently I’m connecting one Rode Wireless GO into a laptop with a 3.5mm.
