Had a couple setbacks but Ol Blue is finally in body shop getting ready for the repaint. I’m so excited for this to finally be happening and can’t wait to see the final product
Little late to share on here but my f-600 is finally running after 12 years of sitting. Runs and drives great, engine work is done so now it’s time to tackle the brakes 😅 it’s got the Lucas girling system if anyone knows what I mean on that 💰💰
After 40 years my 79 has rolled 100k original miles. I must mention that the engine and transmission/drivetrain is still original. How’s that for built Ford tough?
@Torq_OffRoad@rollincoalclub@GMCcanada Yeah I highly doubt that many tailgates was 30k lbs. sounds and looks more like false advertising. My 79 F150 has pulled a bigger gooseneck and much heavier load than that and it handled that load like a champ. 40 years old and it’s still running strong. Let’s see gmc do that...
Spent a late night working on my f-600 last night. I think it’s time to see if it’ll fire off now. Hasn’t ran in 12 years but it’s already showing signs of life
Funny how fast Alabama weather changes. One minute I’m working on the farm and enjoying the nice evening then suddenly hear rumbles of thunder and see a wall of rain headed straight for me. Did allow for some cool pictures yesterday @spann
Ol Blue is finally back from the transmission shop. Got a full rebuild along with new heavy duty billet converter and stage one clutches. Drives and shifts much better now
So I bought another flatbed. 1990 Ford F-600. Has the 370-2v gas engine, 5 speed with 2 speed rear. Can’t wait to get it running again and make it my work truck
Time to begin cleaning my truck for the show this weekend. It’s a car show, tractor show, and swap meet all in one. I’ll be there Saturday and Sunday 8am-4pm
