Is anyone else debating when to put water into the irrigation system? Whats your parameters? I have this debate in my own head yearly lol. Been sunny and gorgeous, but also snowed a week ago. Good old Alberta spring!

@CalgaryBluesky @CalgaryResponse @s11p44 @cityofcalgary @jasmine_mian They usually have a pumphouse at a creek or river or canal where they have a water license from the provincial government to pull an allotted amount of water up to the pond. Some might have a feed from a city line, but I am sure they only pull from that in extreme circumstances.

@CorpWat @cityofcalgary That cleanish river water is also used by communities down stream for drinking water. Why not use storm pond water or go back to gravel and grade it? Everything impacts something. Building a city from scratch today, you wouldn’t think of potential impacts 100 years down the road.
