We have used Go for more than ten years and only update the dependencies when we feel bored. It is very stable and let you focus on your business instead of updating the deps every 6 month or unable to build.
Regarding the error, I believe Go instructs us to handle the errors they have, which is good because errors don't disappear when you change languages. In my opinion, wrapping it in an infinite wrapper makes it difficult to find the root cause of the crash. Just give it to me directly, as Go does.
