@T_Deeney As a villa fan I try not to agree with you but thought you are on the money. This team finished 17th last season!!! And overpaid for above average players
@r_whitehead@themichaelowen Easy. Allow a 3 year investment fund that is capped at 300m. owners put into escrow account to ensure money is there. Set wage caps
@npepper101 What other markets stop investment into assets???? (Players). Tell me why the owners arenโt allowed to put forward an enhanced investment fund (like city, spurs and Chelsea before PCR) for a few years to help them compete?
@LBC@garyseconomics@TomSwarbrick1 This guy is an absolute moron! Itโs not a zero sum game!!!
An analogyโฆโฆItโs not how do we best distribute 20 apples itโs about โhow to we produce 50 applesโ the more financial growth and wealth creation the better for everyone!!!
@SportsFinance Youโre missing the point!!!! I donโt care about spurs revenue!!! The rules prevent investment outside of revenue generation!!! There are other solutions that will allow investment but the โsky 6โ donโt want it because it threatens them
@SportsFinance Allow a 3 year investment period for clubs with ambition. Cap it at 300m over 3 years, Owners put money in escrow fund to cover investment or any risks such as relegation
Whatโs wrong with that?
@SportsFinance Banks encourage investment. Premier league only allow 105m losses over 3 years. This was set 10 years ago!
Solution is simple, owners are allowed an increased investment period which is capped. The money is put in escrow fund by owners to cover losses if relegated
@SportsFinance The analogy isโฆโฆโฆ.. you can buy a big bank building in London for billions but you are not allowed to employ the best bankers who actually generate the revenues!!! Makes no sense until you understand that itโs the others banks that are actually making the rules
