Loved meeting some of the other OTs working in local CCUs today, such a fab chance to network and brainstorm, came away feeling so excited about my new role 💚
Enjoyed a great day at East of England Critical Care network Therapies meeting; especially meeting other critical care OTs 💚 networking, peer supervision, sharing, educating and learning. @CriticalCareOT@PapworthAHPs@dayna_ot@MSE_OT@theRCOT
had an afternoon training session about being a preceptor, looking forward to being able to support our new band 5’s! also my first teams meeting, I don’t know how I’ve made it so far!
I’ve just finished my rotation in one of our community hospitals which has been a lovely opportunity to rehab our patients and spend some quality time focusing on their goals and getting them home safely
@KirstyNiven ask as many questions as possible, you’re not expected to know everything straight away! I found it really helpful discussing clinical reasoning for decisions with other team members, made it easier applying rationale to real life scenarios rather than theoretical 😊
I love these shows, so lush watching the children and adults learning so much from each other 💚#oldpeopleshome4yo would be my dream job to work somewhere like this!!
today I traded two lovely gent patients a cuppa for their advice on how to get a husband. I was told I need to go up to a man when I go dancing and tell him I’m thirsty so he buys me a drink! 🥂I don’t think I’ve laughed as much on the ward as speaking to those trouble makers!
I can’t believe I’ve finish my rotation in admission avoidance, quickest 6 months ever! Really excited to start on my new ward Monday, neuro with a mix of short stay elderly ☺️
I can’t believe I’ve had my OT Twitter for 2 years! A lot has changed in this time, from finishing my degree, moving out, getting my first job and I’m now about to finish my second rotation! I wonder what will have happened this time next year! #MyTwitterAnniversary 💚
#Dementia is likely to have a big physical impact on the person in the later stages of the condition. So 5 year old #DementiaFriend Isabelle's action will provide great support!
Sadly there are few living people who remember what life was like before the NHS> My mother's memory went back that far. "It was terrible, people just died.' was her take. Happy Birthday NHS. https://t.co/IV2W6S3wDY
