Good day, sir.
My name is Ifeoluwa, a Lagos resident and a small scale food vendor based in Lagos State. I am writing this open letter with humility, hope, and a sincere heart as one of the many Lagosians you govern and stand for.
Your Excellency, I cook Nigerian food, good food, honest food, food made with love and skill. I prepare mouth watering local dishes that reflect our culture and our people. This is not just a hobby for me, it is my means of survival, my dignity, and my contribution to the Lagos economy.
However, sir, this year has been extremely difficult for me. Since the beginning of the year, I have made only one sale. Just one. Despite my efforts online, despite my consistency, despite the quality of my food, sales have not been coming. Each day, I keep showing up with hope, but it has been very discouraging.
I am not writing to complain, sir. I am writing to be seen.
Your Excellency, I am one of your people. I am one of the hardworking Lagosians trying to survive honestly through small business. I am asking for support, patronage, and opportunity, whether through a food supply gig, a catering opportunity, a government related contract, or any form of assistance you deem fit.
A single opportunity can change my story. A single patronage can restore my hope.
I believe in Lagos. I believe in your leadership. I believe that when leaders hear the voices of the people, especially the struggling ones, something good can happen.
Thank you, sir, for your time and for all you do for Lagos State. I remain hopeful and grateful.
