If you do not have ₦50,000,000 sitting idle, please just scroll past this post. 🇳🇬
For those still here. Welcome to the table.
The Federal Government of Nigeria is offering ₦1.2 trillion in bonds and paying 22.60% interest to whoever lends them the money.
FGN JAN 2035 — 10-year bond at 22.60%
FGN APR 2037—20-year bond at 16.2499%
Minimum subscription: ₦50,001,000.
Auction date: June 22, 2026.
Interest paid twice a year. Backed by the full faith and credit of the Nigerian government.
Put in ₦50 million for one year at 22.60% and you are walking away with over ₦11 million in interest alone. Your money made more in 12 months than most Nigerians earn in 3 years working a job.
This is what having serious capital does. It makes more capital.
To those who scrolled back up after seeing ₦50 million. There is still a way in. Mutual funds like Coronation Fixed Income Fund and Zedcrest Fixed Income Fund already hold positions in bonds exactly like this one. Minimum entry from ₦1,000.
You do not need ₦50 million to benefit from government bonds. You just need to know where to look. 🇳🇬

The World Bank recommends reinstating petrol import licences to dismantle a supply monopoly, aiming to lower domestic fuel costs that currently sit 12% above global benchmarks.
After BAT's re-election in 2027, the next focus is the Census.
We need an accurate census that will be linked with NIN.
It's time we stop this delusional population figure.

I am reading comments like “That’s not what he said”
Please, in the name of everything that’s sensible, can we cut the crap?
He said someone said prices of food has come down, in his words, “actually we have killed all the farmers, because we have imported cheap food and thrown them into poverty”
What exactly does that statement mean in context of the peculiarity of the situation at hand? You people think we are fools?
Buhari closed the borders, and invested a shit load of resources in our Agriculture, to make us food dependent. Many took loans, from tax payers money and funded their lifestyle, many invested into agriculture and became demi gods, hoarding food and selling at crazy ridiculous prices. Cost of food started to rise, food inflation began to rise.
Tinubu came with his policies redirection in a bid to take the economy back on track, we started purchasing fuel and the dollar at the real prices, and this directly impacted the cost of living. Farmers got even greedier and decided to milk the situation at the expense of Nigerians.
People could literally not afford food to eat, inflation was hitting the roof and people were close to revolting.
I watched an interview of Tinubu where he was asked about the high cost of food, and he said; If the farmers have refused to be reasonable, he knows what to do. He will create competition, increase supply of food to meet the demand, open the borders for cheaper food, flood the market and see if the farmers will not be forced to adjust and sell at competitive prices.
This was done, and for the first time since like forever, we had a drastic reduction of food prices, inflation started to fall, and people could afford food.
So, if Peter Obi in all of his wisdom is telling us that we killing farmers and making them poor, as a result of simple supply and demand, then he’s clearly saying that he would have left food prices the way they are, leave Nigerians to suffer and go hungry, just to protect the same selfish farmers who thought short term profit, over long term profit and meeting the needs of the people.

The same person will go on TV talking about some other country and the journalist will somehow not ask, "what about your position on Argentina? Should we still follow their path?"
I have been screaming “Omo!!” in disbelief!
Nigeria has left me in total shock!
WITHOUT LEAVING MY HOUSE, PASSPORT WAS PRODUCED IN TWO DAYS AND DELIVERED TO MY DOOR! 😱
Here’s the gist. I randomly realized that the Nigerian passport of someone VERY CLOSE to me was expiring in a few months time and we needed to get it renewed ASAP. So I took on the responsibility to get it done.
I started contacting a few folks to see if they had any “connect” at the Nigerian Embassy in Washington DC or the Consulate in Atlanta, GA, because I’ve always dreaded the thoughts of renewing a Nigerian passport due to many gory stories I’ve heard about the process.🥶
Anyways, I got a few advice on what to do/some connects as well. But what stood out to me? A couple of folks said they renewed their passports without leaving their houses and got it done and sent to them in 1-3 months. Ehn!! Of course I’ve read some good stories online but as with our dear Nigeria - “seeing is believing.”😏
After much agitation, fear and doubt, we decided to use the contactless renewal system.
We filled the application online, took the biometrics with our phone, uploaded a passport photograph and boom!
Payment time! I was like “God Abeg o - I no get time to go fight with anybody for that office o” 😣🤣
We paid $230 for booklet fee and $100 for contactless fee (PS: there’s a $50 money order to be paid too). We sent the old passport to the Nigerian Consulate in Atlanta, Georgia and USPS showed that it arrived there 3 days later.
After some days, I went to check the tracking number, it was still processing but no sign of the new booklet being shipped to me yet.
Yesterday! I checked the application online portal, to my surprise, it was on the last step. I saw:
“✅ Passport Produced, Ready for Collection” and last step
“✅Passport Issued/Collected”…
I didn’t believe it and I told myself it must be an error because that was way too quick 😂
was like ahh! Let me check the USPS Mail Tracking code first … Lo and behold! It showed that the Passport will be delivered to my house that same day by evening.
I first shouted “What!!” “How”! I was in disbelief because it was too fast and too hassle-free to be true! Something that you’d need to pay bri^e and wait almost for eternity to get? And now, it’s showing I will get it so quickly without leaving my house or paying anyone?
Wait for the biggest shocker! Being curious, I checked the tracking history, and I saw that the passport was produced in only 2 DAYS after my shipped file of money order and old passport arrived the Atlanta Consulate and on the third day it was given to USPS to send to my house. And USPS delivered the old and new passports to my house safely, as seen in the photo.
So, I know we’re quick to criticize Government but this is me giving you your flowers, Honourable minister, @BTOofficial and the @nigimmigration.
I hope that other public services will be as efficient as this and that bad eggs won’t spoil this good work.
Nigeria must be great! 🇳🇬
WHERE’S THE FUEL SUBSIDY MONEY?
Welcome to the Third Episode of the Extra Sheet. In this episode, I asked a simple question but tracing the origin of fuel subsidy and why it needed to go.
We could no longer afford it.
I congratulate my friend and brother, @AlikoDangote, on the remarkable achievement of the Dangote Petroleum Refinery reaching its full 650,000 barrels per day capacity.
More importantly, it is transformational for Nigeria and Africa. Supplying up to 75 million litres of PMS daily changes our energy narrative and conserving foreign exchangez
With domestic refining now firmly underway after decades of reliance on imports, pressure on the foreign exchange market should ease significantly. I am optimistic that the naira will strengthen meaningfully, and trading below ₦1,000/$1 before year-end is increasingly within reach.
Aliko is not stopping here. He has embarked on an additional $12 billion expansion to increase refining capacity to 1.4 million barrels per day, alongside 2.4 million tons of polypropylene and 400,000 metric tons of Linear Alkyl Benzene for detergent production. Work has already commenced in earnest.
Congratulations once again, my brother. Nigeria is proud of you 🏭🙌🏾… F.Ote💲
Rest in peace Alhaji Akeem Akintunde. You were a highly respected voice in Nigerian Sports Journalism.
Thank you for the childhood memories! We will never forget.
May Allah forgive your shortcomings and grant you Al-Jannah Firdaus. 🙏
