After I retired from hockey, I returned to the U of M to finish my degree and graduate. I had a business writing class with David. I was 10 yrs older but we developed a friendship. Little did I know he would go on to be a prominent local high school sports writer. We kept in touch from time to time and I followed his social media as he became a father and spent a lot of his free time with his daughter. She seems like a great and special young woman.
My thoughts and prayers are on David and his family.
