@Matt_Pinner @Rob_Rosss I was born in 1955 and we didn’t have helicopter parents. You’d get taken to school on the 1st day then after that it was like”well you know the way to go.”
@Matt_Pinner@Shaydes_ofColor I’m sure there were as many dodgy people around then. Dad would send me off to the beach on my own and even at 4 years old I’d have to catch a bus 6 stops and then walk to my piano lessons. Prob why I’m not afraid to do things on my own now!
@FMTYAustralia Very true. I have a civvie job. There were 14 of us in the lunch room, only one born here and it wasn’t me. They were from everywhere including Denmark.
@FMTYAustralia So true. Sadly one of my lovely regulars signed himself out this year due to ill health and aging. It was so nice being paid to drink champagne, eat lunch at his club and come away with Chanel of some description plus $$$ of course and very little bedroom expectation.
@FMTYAustralia Finally a sensible comment! Let’s hope she doesn’t win. My USA friends and cousins are not voting for her, only my friends who have exported themselves from downunder, are!
@FMTYAustralia In 2019 there were bad bushfires in Malacoota. The relatives were there only those with cash could do anything as everything was down. So no petrol no groceries etc
@FMTYAustralia If we are cashless the banks and govt have complete control over our money. Going cashless means you have to declare every cent even if you are babysitting next door as a one off and so on and do forth!
@FMTYAustralia It’s a joke. I paid cash into self service at local Woollies and the machine didn’t give me all my change. The staff couldn’t access it only the guys who pick up the cash can so staff had to use their own debit card to get cash out of another machine. It was $25 I wasn’t going
@padders001@ellymelly @hcfaustralia I had my last hip replacement booked within 3 weeks of seeing the specialist. Imagine being on public waiting list!
@AmandaValentina I thought so too but in the past 6 months life has caught up with me. I’ve had to slow down a bit. 70 next birthday! Still trying to beat the odds though! I really admire your work ethic. Much love xx
@holl63251894@FMTYAustralia Not at all. They don’t need to say that. They should book for the hour and then suggest an extension. The ones that say that don’t usually go through with a booking anyway. They are just Timewasters.
@AmandaValentina I have to pay 1 of my credit cards with cash as I have no linked acct to it and I always have to sign something as it’s always over 1k! I’m only paying off my own debt!
