@SaffronOlive@3amcards People want the cards to match the value of the pack they paid for, which is understandable. Paying $50 for a collector pack and opening a handful of cards that you could have purchased as singles for just $5 feels bad.
@SaffronOlive Honestly, you can just watch Infinity War and then Endgame. Civil War is a legitimately good movie even if you're not into super heroes though, so maybe ease yourself in with that.
I can’t see a world where the average new player feels confident purchasing Standard cards again. Expensive Mythics banned and every ban is reinforcing the fact that the design philosophy is bad and pushing cards too far.
Meanwhile, Wizards refuses to print good interaction.
@MTGSecretLair Had the items I wanted in my cart and got in que less than a minute after it went live, none of them were available by the time I was allowed to order. Not even sure why I'm bothering to type this out seeing how obvious it is that no one at WotC cares.
@SaffronOlive@staxringold True. But even though they met expectations for Q3, the overall earnings per share for Q3 2025 were less than the EPS for Q3 2024.
Meeting expectations is, well, expected. But declining expectations are not.
@CavernOnHumans@PlayMTG@fireshoes Forgive my ignorance, but do stores HAVE to be running Standard right now? Or are they free to do a Modern or even Pioneer RCQ if they wanted to?
@Z_Shadow_Dragon@wizards_magic They don't see any comments, they just see the amount of comments. Thus, even negative comments just show up as "engagement" which is all they are looking for.
