@JonFibonacci @JollyStine Former is badly translating a word only appearing once in scripture. Latter is Paul quoting an earlier letter written to him by the Corinthians to reject its ideas. All badly mistranslated by people who assumed the patriarchy was God's perfect design.

@HenryChien4 @JollyStine Ancient Greek lacked quotation marks. I Corinthians is a letter responding to an earlier letter from the church and Paul correcting the error. Women not speaking g in church is most likely him quoting the earlier letter, and not his own thought.

@jovial_cynic I don't consider it proof. I just consider it there because I do consider language to be the visible expression of the Image of God.

@jovial_cynic But it does have God talking to Himself as if He were not a monism, so in that sense the Trinity is there, assuming that you consider the Trinity a God in relationship to Himself.

@theBrokenBeard @jovial_cynic Probably not actually, though some claim that. Assyria moved people into Israel as much as they were moving Jews out, so the Samaritans were probably a mixed bag ethnically who rejected the Hebrew Scriptures.
