@allengarvin@30000dotORG@JonahDispatch@anders_aslund In this age of social media, We need a rep, paid like a teacher for every 30-50K, each working out of THEIR district such that anyone can walk down to their office and have a face-to-face conversation. Makes electoral collage fair; gerrymandering impossible. #uncapthehouse

@stangeorge My initial reaction is that you made this up. It's a great story. My reaction is probably just the DunningβKruger effect: me thinking no one is this clueless. But then I did IT support & previously taught 9th graders for a few years and I know my reaction is false.
@stitchphysics@stangeorge Not errands, but walking for health, yes, year round-tho at night May-Sept. You get acclimated to the heat, but not the intense sun's UV.
@stangeorge 7105 had Google block street view. Was hoping to see how close the sides of 7107&7105 were to each other. The space between them sure looked tight. Is that want @AstorAaron was referring to as 'zero lot line construction'? Once blocked, next owner cannot unblock.
@OurShallowState Here in Texas it is not uncommon to have rain bursts so intense freeway traffic STOPS! But these bursts, 10-20"/hr usually last minutes at the most. You guys in SCal are getting 1"/hr and if that keeps up you will be on track to rival the Harvey rains in Houston in 2017.
@torygattis@nickpowellchron@evan7257@evan7257 This, this is the Ike Dike that Houstonians can rally behind. The Galveston Bay Park Plan gives citizens a reward for building the Ike Dike. THIS IS THE WAY.
@lyndonbajohnson 3/4ths of the cast of the movie Bernie with Jack Black were locals. Their accent was so like what I grew up with in Texarkana I actually got a little homesick. Sorta like when I moved from UT/Austin to Houston, but that was major homesick.
@lyndonbajohnson 1970 Texarkana Men's Clothing store clerk told teenage me trying to buy some hip clothes that I could draw 2 E-W lines +-150m N and S, extend it to the E Coast and men's fashions would be decades and decades behind the rest of the nation.
