Joined the Network of African National Human Rights institutions (NANHRI) comprised of 48 NGOs,CSOs and KNCHR and other duty bearers to follow up on the status sexual Health and reproductive Rights policy.
Of interest is the need to put in place policy framework to facilitate the recognition of OBstetrical violence (OBV)as a violation of women rights and criminalise the violations of human rights of Kenyan women during child birth.
Amidst the many concerns, the recent reduction on National health funds in this years budgets in Kenya is of key impact to the already stalled health interventions including the increased reported cases of Femicide , Genderbased violence and defilements.
