Now, Muslims who have openly stated America deserved 9/11 are getting elected in New York.

I have a very clear picture of outcomes in places that have tried full-throated socialist systems (state ownership of the means of production, central planning, heavy redistribution, suppression of private enterprise, etc.):USSR: Collapsed after decades of shortages, famines, gulags, and economic stagnation.
China (Mao era): Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution → tens of millions dead, mass poverty. (Post-1978 market reforms are what pulled hundreds of millions out of poverty—not the socialist core.)
Venezuela: Went from one of Latin America's richest countries to hyperinflation, mass emigration, and empty shelves under "21st Century Socialism."
Cuba: Chronic shortages, ration books, low wages, repression—decades after the revolution. Doctors are exported for foreign currency while the population deals with blackouts.
North Korea: Extreme example—hermit kingdom with famines and a personality cult.
