So, I will allow these pics to eventually assume this final form. The first of 16 pics of Singapore’s mythical catfish - the Merlion - soon available on @withfoundation
Singapore’s mythical catfish - the Merlion! What better time to mint my first NFT than the final few hours of #saw2022? Back in 2013, https://t.co/uvctMBxPwK invited me to takeover https://t.co/8L1vGyCCT9 as part of https://t.co/LKFNg26hQD which had an online multiplayer gallery.
https://t.co/uvctMBxPwK challenged me to mint them and I guess he’s right - their form is perfect as an NFT. Amongst the things I've made, these are most like collectibles, we can’t get the Debbie of 2013 to make more, and… they’re cute?
@fdbckfdfwd the small captive market allows art materials here to be priced at eye-popping rates. i go to artfriend for a tour... and then i go upstairs to popular instead to find the cheapest equivalent i can hack into the thing i originally wanted 😂
@claracxw Accelerationism - is there no space for slow art or long process or complexity? I'm concerned by the lack of space and time for discourse or criticality
@fdbckfdfwd Oh no! Hope your laptop situation gets solved! And if you are in a hurry to get a high speed portable hd for backup then I would recommend the SanDisk Extreme Portable E60 or E61. I directly edit work on the portable drive all the time and works well.
Minus is supposed to be a social network where you can have only 100 posts for life. But... what if you had a Minus gallery where you could only collect 100 pieces of art during your entire life? Would 100 be too many or too little? What if every piece had to be kept for life?
Minus is a new social network, commissioned for 'Software for Less' by @bengrosser 💯

“Each and Every Command” collects all the instructions given by @greyisgood to Photoshop over 15 years. A detailed description of the artist's creative process as an impressive and somewhat absurd collection of data. Check it out on @FeralFile

Have been enjoying discovering various amulets – but the uniformity of them in English makes me wish for more in a dialect or pidgin or even singlish accent. Or I guess I'll just have to make some myself...? - https://t.co/09Yobp1nG2
What are we doing to progress beyond these sad looking exhibitions for digital art? Even if it is argued that digital art is made to be shown in infinitely expanding virtual galleries, I go to art exhibitions IRL because I want to be immersed in the experience and materiality.
💥⚡ I just minted two legacy PDFs & offered them on #hicetnunc2000#NFT
My work has always fallen just between theory & practice. But in the end, I believe that writing can also be an art form, so here we go: a 2pack reference #drop of my Glitch-story💥⚡ https://t.co/iNCJDDw858
@fdbckfdfwd I personally didn't get a sense of existential dread reading it. The points you make about systemic inequalities are very valid and yes IRL Freeport is also the playground of the rich but I read it as that the both Freeports and nfts are economic mechanisms for value creation
Throwback to my game/video “The Legend of Debbie” from earlier this year. "A scene from 2023 at the end of the minimum occupation period". (And of course the legend in this case obviously refers to a map legend😉🗺️📌)
@fdbckfdfwd Sadly, every cab ride home to little india is when countless cab uncles have unfortunately decided to reveal their terrible bigotry by questioning me why I chose to live in "such an area" 😶
