Have a Day, McCray! LSU Eunice rides a 7+ inning gem by McCray Jacobs to secure the LCCAC/Region 23 Tournament Championship in a 5-3 win over Delgado. Jacobs fans 8 in his third appearance of the tournament, using home runs by Marshall Louque and Mason Bordelon to provide the offensive juice. LSUE moves on to the South District Championship vs. Shelton State at Bengal Stadium this weekend.

A pitching duel for much of the night, LSU Eunice's bats catch fire late to take a 9-2 win over Delgado and advance to the LCCAC/Region 23 Championship Game on Sunday. The Bengals plate seven runs in the final two innings while Lane Fenske and McCray Jacobs combine for 14 strikeouts.

A reliable force for two years out of the bullpen, McCray Jacobs earns All-LCCAC/Region 23 honors after establishing himself as the top reliever in the conference. The Texas southpaw has compiled a 4-0 record in 19 appearances with a 3.32 ERA, 40 strikeouts and only six walks in 38 innings.
