1/3 On 4 Sept I filed a Rs 100 Petty FSSAI Registration for a small home cloud kitchen in Kolkata. Uploaded Aadhaar with the same address, a fresh KMC Certificate of Enlistment for the premises, and a broadband bill. Reverted within hours. Ref 30260903126939215 @fssaiindia

So a Rs 100 registration now needs a Rs 3,000 lab report the rules don't ask for. Tatkal is switched off in West Bengal. So every home kitchen must pass through one desk with unlimited discretion on "extra documents". That is exactly the setup that breeds rent-seeking.
