Had a really wonderful time at the @CNGGcardiff Home Day @cardiffuni yesterday. Huge thanks to @dbkappel, Ceri, Becs, Guida, Julia, Cat + everyone involved in making it happen. As one of the relative newbies in the team, it was fantastic to be able to put faces to names + chat.
A sunny evening celebrating my FHEA teaching qualification with colleagues @dbkappel from @CNGGcardiff Thanks @LTAcademyCU for your support and for organising a fun event 👨🎓

Open science does not open the science for all. APC are ludicrous for anyone in a LMIC, sometimes up to a yearly salary. Here Brazilian authors had their paper withdrawn because they couldn't pay Wiley's fee.
The more I read recommendation letters, the less I want to rely on them.
Many people will disagree with me. But I will still say that:

We've written a piece (us and the Comms team @CNGGcardiff) on our latest clozapine study about ancestral differences and pharmacogenomics discovery: https://t.co/Ie21kALRd2
A Valentines Day reminder that over 90,000 staff in the HE sector are on precarious and insecure contacts.
This is why we strike.
Vote. Strike. Win.
