@sanniessmith@educator4ever36 Like coloring and using scissors - crazy that some high school students struggle to use scissors, rulers, do crafty projects
@BumpstockBarbie@JennMGreenberg Yes! Its great when families send a tray of cookies or have the local coffee place send a couple of "small tanks" of flavored coffee for the lounge.
@JennMGreenberg As a high school teacher for more than 30 years - I usually get some cookies /goodies from 1 or 2 kids a year, maybe a candle or boy scout popcorn, maybe a gift certificate to a local coffee house from another student. Don't expect a gift from anyone. Appreciate any I get.
@LarkinWilder My daughter had all her teeth including 2 year molars before she was 18 months old. My son got his first tooth at 11 months and his 2 year molars a few months before his 3rd birthday. 🤷♀️. Just gotta wait and see. It will all work out.
@KrehbielAuthor@VitaCatholica Same - could not get enough cottage cheese with 1. Before and after being pregnant could not/can not hardly eat this. #2 craved meat. That child still loves a meat heavy meal.
@AtomDogK9@Damoga67@ThrillaRilla369 That's awesome. In Iowa there are only 2 colleges that offer secondary teacher (HS) certification programs - and very few students enrolled in these programs. If you don't have teachers for HS & middle school, hard to offer these courses.
@Damoga67@AtomDogK9@ThrillaRilla369 Many universities no longer have teacher certification programs for industrial tech either - probably for the same reasons. Plus once you have the skill set to do a votech job who wants to teach for half of what you could make actually doing the jobs?
@MrPitbull07 My mom was an ER nurse for over 30 years. She had 4 kids. She worked every holiday even with 4 kids because OT pay. We always celebrated not on the actual holiday. People with kids can manage. Go you! Enjoy. You will find another job easily.
@DanaGoldstein In the late 70s early 80s when I was in school we memorized poems, read whole books (like a whole reading list worth) wrote comparative essays. My kids 2010-2018 also whole books.
@emilykmay My type A daughter when she was 8 - insisted on being in charge of folding towels because I had been folding them wring my whole life (not hers mine). I let her be in charge of all the folding & outfitsfor family photos so we didn't look like "random people off the street" 🤣
