If I can ask you sweet people for 3 minutes of your time, please listen to this insanely beautiful version of the classic WWII partisan song 'Bella Ciao' arranged by the great @ulisesbella and sung by my daughter. Please 'like' and 'subscribe.'

Having failed at that, they shoved grass into the horses’ mouths in an effort to muffle their sex sounds. Somehow the men (and their horses) managed not to be discovered and survived. #LittleBighorn
Today is the anniversary of the 1876 Battle of the Little Bighorn. I have done a whole podcast series about it (History on Fire episodes 16, 17 and 18) in which I dive into the background and the battle itself.
The mare was in heat, so the horses decided they couldn't care less about the battle or the need to remain hidden, and began having sex. Terrorized about being discovered, the men tried to pull them apart.
In this episode, I tackle fatherhood in history: the bad (a lot), the good (considerably less), and the possible consequences. I also ponder how much bad fathers may have contributed to the popularity of dictators and cult leaders.

Working on an episode about the great Last Stands in history. On the surface, it looks like a military topic, but it’s primarily an existential one.

Often, successful people pontificate about the hard work, talent and discipline at the roots of their success. All those things are certainly important, but they are far from sufficient. 1/2
@Historywithhis1 Tiktok and videos in general: great move. It can help. I need to get back into working on stuff like that. I barely tried Tiktok and I need to revamp YouTube
@Historywithhis1 Starting a podcast now has to be something you feel like doing for creative satisfaction because the odds of making a living on it are horrendously low. It's a bit of a lottery ticket. It could work, but lots of luck plays into it.
