UFBU has been pressing since 2015; IBA has already recommended it to the Government (MoU 07-12-2023), and the 12th Bipartite/9th Joint Note (08-03-2024) records the Saturday holiday clause, pending approvals/clearances.
Honour what’s on record. Approve all Saturdays off.

5-day banking: The world moves forward, but PSB officers still work like it’s the 1980s. Banking professionals or bonded labor?

Residual issues with IBA: Better policies take years to be negotiated/implemented, but new policies against officers come overnight.
