85% of Americans have gum disease. I will change that stat. Never underestimate the power of #floss! RDH, Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Recipient '92. #FlossLikeaBoss
@Dentagama I would have pt see physician to rule out reflux. Recommend bond and possibly do a NG. Maybe encourage pt to seek tools to reduce stress: exercise, meditation. Anxiety associated with bruxism and gastrointestinal issues often go hand in hand. The mouth is attached to the body.
@Dentagama I thought it’s been determined that TBA cannot cause this much erosion of tooth structure. This is all from forces of the bite, as in malocclusion, bruxism, etc. Possible chemical erosion too. If it’s happening in one area or one side it could be from acid reflux during sleep.
In case anything is left to question, this account promotes dental health education. If you have a problem with that, it’s you, not me. You should probably get over yourself.
@emily_murnane I get the joke. I live it. I was sharing that for others who don’t. Patients will come in with their gums ripped up and then blame the hygienist that their cleaning hurt. It was more of a PSA than a response to you.
I’m an adult. I can do whatever I want. And yet here I am just doing laundry and eating salads and taking antidepressants and flossing my teeth and going on little walks. Like an IDIOT.
I would love to see a study on what course of treatment oncologists (and doctors w/the 2 compared) choose for themselves &/or close loved ones when faced with cancer diagnosis vs what most Americans are offered. Has anything like this been done @drmarkhyman?
Dear @Sulcabrush,
If you are seeing a cluster of people ordering your brush from the Southern New Jersey area, it’s my patients. I am planning to produce an instructional video soon to make things easier. Could I get any samples? I could use some pamphlets to give out. Thanks!
What should I do @ConsumerNJ if I have not received my license for 2022-2023? Outgoing message states offices closed due to covid & requests email for inquiries. I have sent a few…no response. I am starting a new position and applying to LA course and need to present my license.
.@DrDanenberg I listened to your story on a podcast last year. I’m wondering if you still offer the nutritional counseling program for dentists and hygienists?
