LOCAL GOVERNMENT IN VICTORIA IS IN CRISIS.

Duly elected Mayor of Whittlesea Aidan McLindon has been blocked from entering the council's public chambers. How is this even possible? How can an elected Mayor be barred from his own chambers?

Mayor McLindon has spoken out against the radical LGBTQIA2S+ agenda and its impact on children, calling for pride flags to be removed from kindergartens, childcare centers, and primary schools. Now, the political machine has been mobilised against him, with unelected bureaucrats working behind the scenes to shut him down.

It is outrageous that unelected bureaucrats - who are supposed to serve elected officials - have managed to ban an elected Mayor from attending his own chamber. This is an attack on democracy.

The same problem exists at the federal level, where faceless bureaucrats wield enormous power behind the scenes to influence policy and undermine the democratic process.

Tonight in a show of defiance to the unelected bureaucracy Mayor McLindon will attend the council building and I will be there as a show of support.

We must take a stand against unelected and unaccountable bureaucrats and the radical elements within the LGBTQIA2S+ agenda.
