صحيح أن تصريحات أخرى—من بينها الحديث عن “العلم المسبق” بإقصاء الجزائر—نُشرت لاحقًا في فيديوهات وتدوينات على حساباته الشخصية، لكن جوهر الاتهام بالفساد قيل على شاشة القناة نفسها. وهذا ما يجعل المسؤولية لا تقع على المعلّق وحده، بل تمتد إلى المؤسسة التي بثّت الكلام ثم التزمت الصمت.

هنا يبرز التناقض الحاد: #beINSPORTS هي الشريك الإعلامي الأكبر للبطولات الإفريقية، وقد راكمت أرباحًا ضخمة من حقوق بثها، أي من أموال الجمهور الإفريقي. فكيف يمكن لمؤسسة تستفيد ماليًا من منظومة ما، أن تسمح باتهامها بالفساد عبر شاشتها، ثم لا تُبادر بأي تحقيق أو توضيح؟

الصمت هنا ليس تفصيلًا.
فإما أن الاتهام غير صحيح، وعندها يصبح السكوت تهاونًا مهنيًا خطيرًا تجاه ادّعاء أُطلق بلا دليل أمام الملايين.
وإما أن الاتهام صحيح أو محتمل، وعندها يتحوّل الصمت إلى تواطؤ غير معلَن بحكم الشراكة والمصلحة.

لا يمكن الجمع بين الربح من البطولات والتشكيك في نزاهتها ثم الادّعاء بالحياد. فالحياد في هذه الحالة ليس موقفًا مهنيًا، بل مصلحة صامتة.

إذا لم تفتح بي إن سبورت تحقيقًا داخليًا معلنًا مع حفيظ الدراجي في الاتهامات التي أطلقها على شاشتها، ولم تُعلن نتائجه للرأي العام، فإن صمتها لن يُفهم كحذر مهني، بل كاختيار واضح:

When Silence Becomes Suspicion: #beINSPORTS Sports Between Accusations of Corruption and Profiting from It

When a commentator of the stature of Hafid Derradji makes a direct accusation of corruption involving refereeing and the Confederation of African Football live on air, during an official match between Algeria and Nigeria, this cannot be dismissed as a mere “moment of emotional outburst.” This was a public accusation, delivered from an official platform and witnessed by millions of viewers.

While other statements — including references to “prior knowledge” of Algeria’s elimination — were later published through videos and posts on his personal accounts, the core accusation of corruption was made on the channel’s own broadcast. This expands the scope of responsibility: it no longer rests solely with the commentator, but also with the media institution that aired the statement and then chose silence.

Here lies a stark contradiction. beIN Sports is the largest media partner of African football competitions and has generated substantial profits from broadcasting rights — profits derived from African audiences. How can an institution that benefits financially from a system allow that same system to be accused of corruption on its own platform, and then fail to initiate any investigation or provide clarification?

Silence here is not a minor detail.
If the accusation is false, then silence amounts to a serious professional failure in the face of an unsubstantiated claim broadcast to millions.
If the accusation is true or even plausible, then silence becomes an unspoken form of complicity driven by partnership and vested interests.

One cannot profit from competitions, cast doubt on their integrity, and still claim neutrality. In this context, neutrality is not a professional stance, but a silent interest.

If beIN Sports does not launch a transparent internal investigation into the accusations made by Hafid Derradji on its airwaves, and does not make its findings public, its silence will not be perceived as professional caution, but as a clear choice:
the choice to stand between accusation and profit… without accountability — a betrayal of its biggest partner, the Confederation of African Football.
