Thank you to everyone who came out to the Parent & Youth Town Hall at the Go-Go Museum for an honest conversation about what young people need in our city.
We have a responsibility to both invest in our young people and keep our communities safe. That means expanding opportunities and support for kids across DC while also using narrowly tailored, local tools like the juvenile curfew when there are credible safety concerns.
We can support our young people and prevent violence at the same time - and these decisions should remain in the hands of local leaders who know DC best.
Grateful to Save DC, Don’t Mute DC, and all the parents, students, teachers, and community members who are working toward solutions together. Thank you @MotenSpeaks and The Go-Go Museum for having us!
I’ve spent my career fighting for DC - making our city safer, standing up to federal overreach, leading Downtown revitalization, and bringing our Commanders home.
Now, I’m running for Congress to keep delivering for everyone in DC by lowering housing costs — helping renters, first-time homebuyers, and seniors age in place — and protecting our city’s future and right to our own autonomy.

Great to join the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce today and spend time with so many incredible Hispanic business owners, entrepreneurs, and community leaders helping move DC forward. 🌸
Hispanic Washingtonians are a vital part of our city’s culture, economy, and communities, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to connect with leaders creating opportunity across DC.
DC, this election is the most critical election of our time.
With a new mayor, congressional delegate, and up to 6 new Councilmembers coming, we need leaders who can get things done on Day One. I am that candidate.
Rank Kevin B. Chavous 1st! #DayOneReady
Higher education is central to DC’s identity and future. Our universities drive innovation, research, public service, and civic engagement across our city.
I’ll always support students’ right to speak freely, engage in debate, and challenge ideas without fear - and to do so in safe, welcoming learning environments. Strong universities and open dialogue make our communities - and our democracy - stronger.
I’m not going to make unrealistic promises. Listening comes first. In my first year as DC At-Large Councilmember, I’ll host at least one town hall in each ward. I’m committed to meeting residents where they are to hear directly, understand deeply, and represent every voice in DC.
"I am proud to endorse Brooke Pinto as the next Congressional Delegate from the District of Columbia to the United States House of Representatives.
As a U.S. Senator from Maryland, I care deeply about what’s best for Washington, DC—and that means having a representative who can be effective on Capitol Hill to advance the priorities of the District of Columbia and our Democratic values. Since I’ve been serving in Congress, I’ve seen firsthand what is needed to be taken seriously and deliver results.
As a former prosecutor and County Executor for Prince George’s County, I know the importance of public safety. I -- along with my colleagues in Congress -- have watched and noticed how Brooke has navigated her time as the Chair of Council’s Committee on Judiciary and Public Safety to pass common sense policies that keep all of us safe. That experience and record matters.
This role requires someone who has already proven themselves on tough issues, who can work across the aisle—even with those who don’t understand or prioritize DC—and who will remain grounded in the values and vision of the people of Washington, DC. Brooke Pinto is that leader."
- US Senator Angela Alsobrooks (D-MD)
A legendary District staple has been beautifully restored.
Congratulations mother Virginia Ali and the entire Ali family on the opening of the newly renovated Ben’s Chili Bowl. I can’t wait to visit!
Domestic violence is one of the most urgent public safety issues we face in DC - impacting 1 in 3 women in our city over their lifetime.
That’s why I worked to establish a DNA database here in DC, bringing us in line with 33 other states and the federal government. DNA testing has helped close dozens of rape cases - including cases that had been open for over 20 years.
This is about justice, accountability, and making our city safer. And it’s work I will continue fighting for every single day.
Our survivors deserve continued investment which is why I am also working to restore funding for access to justice and victims services.
Honored to earn the endorsement of ElectED DC, a powerful voice for Wards 7 and 8 families and students.
This endorsement reflects the voices of parents, students, and community members demanding leadership that listens and delivers.
I’m #8 on the ballot. #RankKevinFirst
We need to reform the DC Housing Authority by bringing on new case managers and investing capital to address years-long waitlists, so residents can finally get into units that are already available. That’s part of Breaking Ground DC, and it’s about making the system actually work for the people it’s supposed to serve.
And that’s just the beginning of Breaking Ground DC.
