At its core, peer services and skill development are not about replacing traditional therapy, but about bridging the gap between specialized clinical treatment and real-world application. A therapist can help a youth process trauma in a session, but a peer mentor can help that same youth practice resilience, discipline, and emotional regulation in real-time—whether in a gym, on a trail, or scaling a rock wall. I've been perplexed with the platform X because it seems like unless you're participating within an echo-chamber with pre-scripted regurgitated ideas and comments, there isn't much innovative narrative. I however see that this could also be my ignorance of how to participate here. So I'm offering a question that all decision makers and community minded folks should have an opinion on. I'd genuinely love to hear folk's ideas.

Wrapping up school and travel with ( #LONDONASICS10K )a 10k through London. I was more concerned with photographing the unbelievable city than anything else. This was definitely top ten in my life experiences!

Just finished final exam #2, wrapping up our second course in commercial law studies in London, England. My colleague Warren and I are now preparing for our final project—mock arbitration. I’m really looking forward to arriving back stateside on the 16th! It’s going to take quite some time to process the scope of this international experience, both personally and professionally. An El Hajj Malik El Shabazz (Malcom X) quote in a letter from Mecca resonates quite well with me in this moment: “You may be shocked by these words coming from me. But on this pilgrimage, what I have seen, and experienced, has forced me to rearrange much of my thought patterns previously held, and to toss aside some of my previous conclusions.”
