LeBron James spoke about the sticker, with Isaiah 41:10 on it, he shared on his Instagram Story.

“A [Trailblazers] ball boy gave it to me & said, ‘Jesus loves you’, & obviously He does”

A few thoughts:

1. This was a kind gesture by the ball boy.

2. Isaiah 41:10 tells Israel, which can be applied to gentile believers in Jesus Christ today (Romans 11), to not fear, because God is with you, & will strengthen you, because you are a child of God (chosen by God)/His sheep.

3. LeBron is not a Christ follower so this verse, doesn’t apply to him, currently.

4. LeBron needs to know the truth that Jesus does not “obviously” love him. “Jesus loves you” is a sweet sentiment, but it is a lie, that can, unfortunately, give unbelievers like LeBron, a false sense of eternal security.

5. LeBron needs to be told graciously and lovingly that Jesus loves those that love & follow Him (John 14), and that he needs to repent of his sins and believe the Gospel (Mark 1:15)

6. I would love to see LeBron truly follow Christ, and maybe this Isaiah 41 Scripture, though it is used out of context in more a self-help, “Jesus loves everyone” type of way, is a seed that may take root, and he becomes a Christian. Time will tell, but I pray for LeBron’s salvation.
