One of the #CargobikeSharingBETA electric bikes was used yesterday to make a 5.7km journey over 3 hours, transporting 2 children + 3 bags to 3 destinations, for €11.
The user noted that "it would be extremely difficult to manage this journey in a car due to timing and parking."
A great suggestion by one of the @BleeperActive staff, this is a prototype 'taxi plate' sign for the top of the #CargobikeSharingBETA hangar - to explore differentiating it from regular @BikeBunkers for better awareness of people passing by. (Probably useful for new users too.)
Some #CargobikeSharingBETA stats to date.
- 14 unique users so far.
- These have taken 35 trips.
- 37% of those were in the below blue cycle, 63% of them in the below green cycle.
- average trip length so far is 2:50hrs, which would average out at approximately €11.
Some #CargobikeSharingBETA stats from last week
- 10 trips were taken by 6 users
- 6 were on the blue cargobike, 4 on the green cargobike.
- Median trip duration was 75 minutes.
- The shortest trip was 13 minutes (€1), the longest was 4 hours (€16).

#CargobikeSharingBETA was recently used by two separate users to transport their younger children to sports practice.

@atcounts_ie That's one tasty looking picnic and thanks for the feedback!
If you've ever any suggestions for how we might improve #CargobikeSharingBETA in any way, please just let us know.

@damcw So far, all seems OK.
Two things we're considering from this perspective - how people are generally treating the appliance (eg malicious damage or such) and how people are cleaning up after themselves (both the appliance itself but also the general area around).
@damcw The appliance was installed last Sept or so. Device was accessible to the public but unannounced and power kept switched off.
As we considered it, we then ordered the optional hood which had many benefits.
Then trial began in May telling locals, then wider announcement in July.
@st_yossarian @damcw If this project moves to the scaling stage, we'll look at what best language to use. Hence for the moment we're using the interim "cooktop" term.

@ukwrightphil@BleeperActive Thanks, we'll discuss with Cyclehoop about the inner handle and Bleeper about covers.
Whatever the solution for covers, it'd need to be a citywide solution and be sustainable to do and keep going.
