☀️With temperatures increasingly higher than average this week, DGS, @dcpublicschools, and @dcdpr are closely monitoring temperatures in schools and rec centers. If DGS is alerted to any concerns, we will address issues that arise, including any necessary contingencies.

DGS attended a Community Walk in #Ward2 at @DCDPR's Rose Park Rec to address community concerns. By addressing concerns at Rose Park Rec, we’re continuing to work with our partners to make our recreational spaces better serve the needs of the community.

Good news, DC! Outdoor pool season has officially begun.
‌
17 outdoor pools and 35 spray parks are open today through Monday 10AM-6PM.
‌
While rain is in the forecast, pools will open as long as conditions remain safe for lifeguards to monitor and as long as there is no lightning.
