More to come.
The ORE staking program has officially been frozen.
This is a major milestone and security upgrade for token holders. All staked assets are now immune from upgrade authority risks.
Here's what this means for users... 🧵
Crypto can simultaneously 1) embrace traditional finance and 2) return to cypherpunk roots.
One without the other would be a major loss for the world. Where these trends intersect is the most interesting place in the industry.
NEW: Now tracking @OREsupply, a digital store of value and one of the top revenue-generating apps on @solana.
Track Ore's financials, buybacks, staking activity, mining activity, behaviour of miners, investors, and its competitive position relative to peers in a single place.
Seeing a lot of grumbling about SOL’s price action.
I think SOL will do well when Solana’s network activity surges. And since it has the most robust eco, I think that will happen soon. But when activity stagnates, I don’t expect it to hold value like a true SoV.
It’s not designed as hard money: flexible issuance/supply, validator incentives, fee payments, etc.
$ORE, however, has the attributes to potentially become Solana’s SoV: frozen supply, fixed issuance, real yield, fair launch.
A healthy ecosystem needs both. In fact, I think the winning blockchain of the future will need a dominant SoV native to its chain.
Solana manlets think RWA perps is the most critical market to win.
That's wrong.
The market for non-sovereign SoV is vastly more important.
Long-term, RWA trading will gravitate to the chain where the dominant SoV asset is natively liquid and composed with across DeFi venues.
I just bought a monke because Thep said I should. It took me 8 clicks to buy it from @MagicEden -- truly some of the worst UI / UX in crypto and that is saying a lot.
