I'm 54.
I wasted 24 years learning this the hard way. But I'll teach you in 5 minutes.
If you're soft, stop reading now.

For those upset about Yasuke
Listen…if yall hate Black people or anything Black “contaminating” your media. Then just say that. Don’t make up a bunch of excuses for your racism
There's been controversy about the main character #Yasuke in Assassin's Shadows, largely from folk who don't want to see a black protagonist/Samurai, and give the excuse it's historical perversion.
To that I ask, since when has that ever been an issue in this FICTIONAL franchise?
Which has seen historical figures such as Leonardo Da Vinci, modify your assassin blade throughout the game and create inventions for you. Obviously not a historically accurate role or connection.
Or Italy's historic House of Borgia family being Templar assassin killing antagonists.
Or Napolean be a villain beset on getting his hands on the games Apple of Eden.
Aspasia, lover of Pericles during his leadership of Athens, being the leader of the Cult of Kosmos.
Or Alfred The Great Of Wessex being the Grand Maegester of the very Order of the Ancients.
Or how Ivarr The Boneless was depicted and killed.
And so on and so on.
Point is, this franchise has always been filled with historical characters that have had fictional depictions, and/or been involved in entirely fictional narratives and scenarios.
I didn't see any outrage or calls for historical accuracy for any of that. Nor would I expect to. Assassin's Creed isn't a bloody documentary, and its convergence to history is purely for narrative novelty and entertainment.
Now the next point will likely be that they were all NPC's, whereas this time you're playing as the historical figure.
To which my response would be, so what? Both are still aberrations of actual history and real figures, hence that differential ultimately still boils down to silly semantics.
P.S. there is evidence to suggest Yasuke was indeed a Samurai who served under Nobunaga, despite certain narratives to the contrary, but I'll go over that in a different tweet with historical sources.

Power and speed are often worthless without precision and timing. These new characters are well aware of that.
