Chidinma Ojukwu was arraigned alongside two others, Adedapo Quadri and Chioma Egbuchu, on October 12, 2021, on a nine-count charge over the alleged murder of Usifo Ataga. DNA evidence later linked Chidinma Ojukwu to the crime scene, and her bloodstained clothes matched the DNA of the victim.
Chidinma Ojukwu was later crowned Miss Cell 2022 in prison. That's all what most Nigerians know so far about the story.

The driver of the BRT bus, Andrew Nice Omininikoron, was identified and arrested by the Department of State Security Operatives.
Omininikoron initially confessed to raping Bamise and abandoning her but later changed his story, denying any involvement in her murder. He claimed that his bus was hijacked by armed robbers who also kidnapped Bamise at gunpoint.
Omininikoron was arraigned before the Lagos High Court on four counts bordering on conspiracy, murder, and rape. He pleaded not guilty to the charges. The trial was stalled due to the absence of the defendant, who claimed to have a leg injury.
That is all most Nigerians know about the case.

2. BAMISE
Oluwabamise Ayanwole, a 22-year-old fashion designer, was abducted and murdered after boarding a BRT bus in Lagos, Nigeria, on February 26, 2022.
She was found dead nine days later on March 7, 2022.
After leaving work, Bamise boarded a BRT bus at Chevron, Lekki, heading to Oshodi on the Lagos mainland around 7:30 pm. She was the only passenger in the bus and observed that the interior was dark. She noticed that at least two other male passengers entered the bus afterwards. The driver did not pick up more passengers, and there were no CCTV cameras in the bus.
Bamise sent voice notes and video recordings of the bus interior with the bus plate number identifier to her friend, who advised her to alight as soon as possible at the next bus stop.
