Sure is starting to feel and look like summer out there!
Who remembers the Lake Henry swimming beach (with the water wheel!) at City Park in Alexandria, MN? When we posted this last summer, many of our followers were surprised the wheel wasn't responsible for more broken bones...
[Image description: Scan of an antique photo showing a child cuddling a young chicken close to their face with a grassy background. A blurry white chicken can be seen running away on the right side of the image, and an open paint can is in the foreground]
[Image Description: An antique photograph of the brick-building lined, packed dirt main street (called Broadway) of Alexandria, MN in the 1910s. A street car, which has been spliced into the photo by the original photographer, is apparently moving towards the photographer.](5/5)
The 'background' of this photo is the intersection of 7th Ave and Broadway, looking north. The street car in this image was spliced in by the creator, possibly W. O. Olson.(4/5)
