Ambassador Keshap was joined by John Cypher of GHP and Jagdip Ahluwalia of IACCGH to provide introductory remarks and guide the conversation.
We were joined by The Hon. S. Paul Kapur, Assistant Secretary of State for @State_SCA, and The Honorable Consul General of India in Houston, D C Manjunath (@cgihou), who provided context-setting remarks and shared insights into the priorities of both governments and Houston’s strategic role in advancing the U.S.-India partnership.
The discussion focused on the central role Houston plays in the energy, healthcare and space sectors, and how these strengths create opportunities for deeper commercial and trade partnerships between Texas and India. Houston continues to rank as one of America’s busiest gateways for trade with India, & Texas-at-large is now home to over 70 Indian companies with major capital investments.
Industry leaders highlighted the importance of strengthening state-level innovation ecosystems in both countries, recognizing that entrepreneurship is critical to advancing broader U.S.-India economic and strategic ties.
