Educators, after one week of remote learning with my own kids, my reflections are: Slow down; ease up on the number of daily messages/updates (it’s tough to keep up); slim-down workload; be patient; STOP using grades as a threat. Show grace and flexibility.
I've been asked my reaction to schools' having temporarily stopped grading students because of online instruction challenges due to the pandemic. Hmm. What would your reaction be to news that the CIA had ordered a brief moratorium on waterboarding prisoners due to a drought?

Wow! Nearly 700 students came through the past four days to see what we are up to. Thanks to all the current students and staff that helped make this happen. Course registration opens in a couple of weeks - hoping to see many of these young people again next school year.
