All my sports teams are mediocre, but @playfulpixel isn't. I infrequently do things with @venicesunlight. I help build tubes in series. #NYR#ATLUTD#SOFJ#UTFT
@Austen Not entirely but it was always a bit of a red herring, real issue was that big content and big ISP had a staring contest over who would invest around the actual physical network constraints. They both blinked so it stopped mattering
@AndyMasley This is also an issue with damage caused to a private well and not the county water system. Meta’s GC should bear responsibility to remediate this for these residents (assuming the reported facts are true) but it’s also a much different story than if it was a wider impact.
@AndyMasley Curious what your findings will be relative to air pollution from LNG turbines for onsite power generation at DCs. My *instinct* is that this is the most worrisome externality and it won’t show in the aggregate yet because very few are in service so far. No idea if data supports
@JoePatrick My understanding is that the irrigation system that got installed for this is permanent so having a grass pitch that’s modular could still be in the cards
@HamptonPrezcott Disagree that the coalition needs upheaval but both sides have responded incorrectly to changing dynamics as you suggest. City gov has ceded too much power (or really too selectively) to NPUs. Biz community will never touch controversial projects (ABI rail) but remains active.
@HedgeDirty This entirely depends on the city. This is more often true in Sun Belt cities who grew dramatically after suburbs were in fact normative. In the Northeast the power base still largely resides in the city.
@bryanrbeal This actually seems fairly level for the Post. The issue is people’s bias will be to infer that QTS “stole” the water when the correct inference is Fayette County had no idea what it was getting itself into and wasn’t prepared to handle a commercial development of this magnitude
@AndyMasley The framing sucks. Local EcDev are used to framing things in terms of job creation so it’s pitched to communities in comparison to what a similarly sized manufacturing facility would create, when it should be compared to how many jobs were created by the land’s previous use
@atlurbanist I think it depends where exactly but options are still lacking more often than not. In SE Cobb there are a couple of really great spots, most are just passable, and the city (esp W Midtown) is way more convenient for us than other areas with better density
@NickZararis Surprised that this happened, just kind of assumed Drury didn’t see the problem here. Unfortunately the rest of that group leaves as much to be desired
@FullBlownMltdwn They truly are. Next time I saw them they were opening for StD/TBS. Went up to Kenny and Hippy after the show and they knew who I was which was wild to me. We generally got to hang with them any time they played in the northeast after that
Will not identify who as they are still in the game, but was told by a player, during the playoffs leading up to their unrestricted free agency, that they would not be resigning with their current team because the GM was racist
