@sleepyserenade Unfortunately I don't have any reliable information on what IMAX likes/doesn't like - I think there are few people on https://t.co/zRSpGrDB2a with some IMAX experience so maybe it's worth asking there.
@sleepyserenade It sounds like they made it "full frame" i.e. 4096 x 2160 which is unusual - maybe the IMAX projector rejected it because of that... you could remake it in a 1.85 container and see if that works any better (assuming it's not encrypted).
We're still looking for testers who would like to beta test a version of DCP-o-matic with GPU-accelerated encoding (using nvidia and Ubuntu) - take a look at https://t.co/KWf26uGBi7 if that sounds interesting!
2.16.56 is uploaded with a couple of fixes for nasty (but fairly rare) bugs, and a new (testing) CLI tool called dcpomatic2_map https://t.co/rfbiydeQhh
Has anybody running macOS Ventura tried the 2.16.46 release of DCP-o-matic? Does it work for you? I'd be especially interested to hear from people with x86 (i.e. not M1) systems.
There's a test release here: https://t.co/gvsMZv8C3W that makes a small change (hopefully fix) to the video bitstream for encrypted DCPs. Any tests would be much appreciated!
@dianakennedy It's very hard to give a general dB level because it depends on how the audio has been mixed and compressed. As a general rule if you show the audio levels graph in DCP-o-matic it's best if the level is hitting -10dB at the very most.
@dianakennedy I think that's an abbreviation of "basses fréquences" - it's the sub woofer, also known as Lfe - a channel for low-frequency sound components. The French translation was recently updated and it looks like the translator changed this back to "Lfe"
@dianakennedy If you can export separate WAV files, 1 per channel, you can use them in DCP-o-matic provided you know which is which (you can specify in DCP-o-matic which channels a given file should be used for).
@dianakennedy You can import as many tracks as you like, but DCP-o-matic is certainly not a good place to mix audio! I don't know Vegas Movie Studio but hopefully you can export your project's audio as separate 5.1 channel files.
