@boomjayo@DCU@DCUEdTrust It was great to host a Dublin legend @boomjayo The work you and your team in @DCUEdTrust do allows us to support Sean and numerous others on their journey. This amazing technology is transforming the lives of wheechair users and impacting how the world views paralysis.
Very well articulated article making the case of the health benefits for standing and walking for wheelchair users. @dcuexoskeleton

How Exoskeleton Technology Can Transform Healthcare | Part 3 | The Futur... https://t.co/eq2TmHlaYN via @YouTube@dcuexoskeleton clinical lead Ronan Langan discusses exoskeleton technology along with one of our incredible service users Romina Afrasani
Back up, back at it.
Body feels connected after stepping with my robotic friend today in a way I don’t experience day to day.
Upright, extended, putting pressure through my joints and feet.
The things we take for granted.

Happy to answer any questions 👍😊
@MaterPhysio@MaterStroke Thanks to the ESD team and @MaterPhysio for collaborating on a really interesting case. Working together like this allows us all to see the power of this amazing technology that we are using here every day to help people with paralysis @dcuexoskeleton
@louiseclark15 1. Given what we do here in DCU every day i would strongly recommend providing exoskeleton walking from as early as possible post onset of stroke. It is the best way to optimise alignment in standing and get repetitive and novel stepping practice with appropriate motor activation
Good evening! We did some video recently with some of our service users which explains what the @dcuexoskeleton programme is all about, and the impact it can make on people's lives. Watch the video here: https://t.co/7UrKH1vNQL #exo#exoskeleton#dcuexoskeleton
Deirdre lost the ability to walk independently when she fell ill while on holidays in 2018. Now, thanks to the @dcuexoskeleton programme, Deirdre has completed over 16 walking assited sessions. Read more about Deirdre's story here: https://t.co/Iq02XbLhiM
Eoghan & Duke got to see @DublinCityUni Amazing Exoskeleton. This technology is evolving v rapidly -Hopefully Eoghan will walk some day -With Robotic Assistance -Like ‘Terminator’ as Eoghan put it! Thanks to @muirtheimhne & Ronan Langan & DCU for #DisabilityGE2020
On Thursday last I walked for the first time in 14 years with the aid of an exoskeleton and the staff at DCU. It showed me another level of emotional connection to technology. #walk#disability#hardware#design#research#DCUExoskeleton
This morning I was back at @EksoBionics San Francisco HQ to strengthen our collaboration. We discussed upcoming robotics innovation, possible research areas for our scientists back in Ireland and ways of scaling our @dcuexoskeleton programme. Onwards!
Wishing all @DublinCityUni students, staff, alumni and friends in Ireland and across the globe a Happy Christmas and a prosperous New Year!
Nollaig shona agus athbhliain faoi mhaise daoibh go léir! 🎄

Jennifer Hester, a service user with @dcuexoskeleton programme, did an interview with @IrishTimes, in which she says the programme has helped her regain her strength in her right knee & hip, and she can now walk short distances using crutches. Read here: https://t.co/f0miqcXMjb
Many thanks to @dcu_sports for hosting our exoskeleton photoshoot today in their fitness studio. Our service user Colm Costigan continues to push the limits of his abilities to get back on his feet #inspirational#exoskeleton
