The other day I bought Ash Vs The Evil Dead the complete series on DVD from a Walmart. When I opened the box, the first and the last disc were missing. To take the beginning and the end of the series is some evil shit.
I was able to exchange it, btw.
I remembered recently that "Heidi, Girl of the Alps" is the first anime I ever watched. What a cruel thing to do to a child. The idea that someone ran a channel and said to themselves, "you know what would be great, if we bored kids to death."
Just finished the first draft. It's about 77k words. Wrote it on and off for many many years. Mostly off. for 8 years or so.
I've only read about 20 pages of it, so It might not even be a good story, but it was fun to write.
I've been organizing files
I found a story I didn't get to finish
I was maybe 2 or so chapters away from finishing it
but then I started writing L.A.D.S.
it's currently at 49 thousand words.
I'm gonna try to finish the first draft this week.
The reason why it bothers me that it's getting longer and longer: it's not a sci-fi story or a fantasy story or an epic or anything like that. It's kind of a sweet love story. Nick Hornby-esque. Lots of jokes and stuff. But ultimately, it's just about a couple that gets along.
